Decorating

Still need to finish decorating and getting everything like I want it.  But it's a start, plus I'm sick so it can wait.

I'm thankful for both of my ex husbands. Both have played important roles in my life, helping me become the person that I am, and giving me beautiful wonderful children.

Today I'm thankful for traditions.  I love them!  And I have so many of them.

I am thankful for this day; for  my wonderful children, good food, a warm home, laughs, smiles, hugs, kisses, and memories with them.   I am also thankful that I am not the type that needs anyone's help.  I do things my way and on my own.  Depend on no one.

I am thankful that I am almost done Christmas shopping.

I am thankful that 2014 will be a year of change for me.  I am eliminating people from my life who haven't been there or care for me and the children.  I have already started eliminating some but more are to come.  Change can be scary, but having awful people around us, is even worse.

I'm thankful for my compassion. Even though it gets me hurt often, I wouldn't want to live without it.  It makes me a better person.

I'm thankful for books.  I'm apparently part nerd because I love reading and learning. There's nothing like losing yourself in a book.  Or even going book shopping, the smell of books. :)

Today I'm thankful for warm socks.  I love socks.  If you know me, you know I have a lot of different ones.

Today I am thankful for music.  Music speaks to my soul.  In any situation I can find a song that fits the mood I am in.

Of course at first I bawled during the song, but over time it got easier.  The pain is still there, it is just a different type of pain. 

Being married and divorced twice now there are plenty of songs that have helped me deal with my emotions.

This is pretty much my life now.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFmTA0IkP98 Every other weekend by Reba and Kenny Chesney.   My heart goes out to all those affected my divorce.  I still to this day can't believe I have been married and divorced twice. Especially since I don't really believe in marriage.  I don't think some people should be married, but then again those people shouldn't get married to begin with.  And I am not pointing fingers at anyone.
