Plumbing Work... No Thanks!

If you know me then you know that I am pretty athletic.  There isn’t a sport that I have tried that I haven’t been decent at.  I can throw and catch a football, play basketball, baseball, tennis, and run.  I play sports like a boy, well I use too.  But I still have it in me…. I think.  I’m not as fast I use to be, the days of running a mile in five minutes are long gone.  But I can usually hold my own, even at my ripe old age.  But I am not the type that can carry heavy things (nothing over 50 pounds), or dig holes… basically I am not a man.  Well for two days, that has been my life.  And let’s just say it sucks!  I never want to see another shovel as long as I live.  I have been digging up my backyard, thanks to my sewer pipe collapsing.  Great fun!  And not to mention the smell.  I already have a strong sense of smell, and the sewer smell is well gross!  And of course, it isn’t fixed yet.  Hopefully today or tomorrow it will be fixed and then I can fill my holes back in… great, more quality time with a shovel.  My poor hands!  More power to those that are plumbers or even married to a plumber, there is no way I could handle that!  So if there was any doubt in my mind about my calling, being a plumber isn't one of them! I'm really thankful that my dad is able to help me fix me.  I'm not sure what I would do without him.
