Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day!!!!!  I'm thankful for my freedom and could never thank our military enough for what they do/ have done. Today was a lazy day for me and the kids.  We did some spring cleaning and too much eating.

Blended Family

When you marry someone with children you become a step parent; like it or not.   If you don't like the idea then don't marry someone with children. It's that simple.  But if you decide to marry someone with kids then you owe it to those children to be the best step parent you can be.   You no longer come first, the children do.  They were there first, remember that.  If you are making your spouse pick between the children or yourself, you need to leave the relationship.  If you are playing favorites between the kids, you shouldn't be around kids.  Marrying into a family isn't something  to take lightly. It's an honor. An honor that is forgotten.  

I'm not a step parent; I never have been. But I watch a lot of kids that aren't mine.  But they are treated like they are mine.  They receive love, hugs, kisses, bonding.  That's how it's suppose to be.  So I know I could be a step parent, and I know I would be a good one. Children deserve the best. 

I can say that my children haven't always received the best from their step parents.  It makes me angry and sad.  They deserve better.

So true.  If he doesn't text for days or call you. He isn't into you. Move on. If he lies about you or to you, he isn't into you. 

Volunteer

This is true. But unfornately volunteers get treated poorly a lot.  It looks like my fostering dogs days are ending. I can't take the way they treat me anymore.  I love animals especially dogs and it's awesome to show my kids to love something that isn't theirs but not at this cost.

Blueberry almonds.... One word to describe them.  Interesting. I'm not sure if I hate them or like them. They are healthy. But have an odd taste.  I'm not a huge nut eater, unless it's covered in chocolate.  Lol 

This is just gross.  I'm not big on fruity drinks but this about made me puke.  I'm looking forward to the other flavors.  I'll blog them as soon as I try them. 

And look at this cute little thing!!! It's purple!  It's perfect!!  I love it.  :) I'll use this a lot!! 

I tried the French vanilla next step shake from vitaminshoppe.com.  It was better then the berry one. It smelled great as only powder but once mixed it wasn't as great as I thought it would be.  I forgot to take a photo of it.   

I'll admit I'm not a bath person. If I had a huge tub, maybe then I would enjoy baths. But sitting in an inch of water and staring at my body.... No thanks.  So it's rare I take a bath. But I wanted to try this product out so into the tub I went.  First off purple!!!! I love!!  I open the top and instant smell good!!  It dissolves wonderfully into my water. It was gentle to my sensitive skin no weird hives or rash from it.  It made my bathroom smell great!!!  And of course well relaxing, my little two year comes to find me.  Asking why I'm in the bath? And noticing all the bubbles!! He and his sister would probably love this product too. :) 

I can say this about the tampons, I can't and won't use them (hysterectomy) so I'll give them away.

 

Muller Quaker yogurt.  I got a coupon for a few one.  It is pretty good. I'm a strange person about textures, so the strawberries has the seed parts in it, which I wasn't too crazy about it, but it was good.  I would eat it again.  It is kind of pricey for a single yogurt though, the price was $1.39... a lot of yogurts are $1.00 each.

Well I made a few teacher gifts.  Actually five.  :) they will also be getting gift certificates with the wreaths.  I'm so glad it's the end of the school year.  Being on summer with my kids!!!!
