4 Weeks Post Op

I'll make this short and sweet.  I am 4 weeks post op today.. hard to believe it has been 4 weeks.

Incisions- healing, light bruising on two.  One incision still looks bad but it was open.  It is closing. I will be scarred.  That upsets me. 

Bruising- Only light bruising.

Pain- Comes and goes.  If I over do it, it is bad.  I still have a lot of pains though.  Especially from my ovaries.  But they were messed with too.  And one of my incisions is still too sore to touch and the whole muscle hurts.  The doctor said it was normal, but I am not sure how much longer this is considered normal. I think he hurt the muscle. 

Mental- Bad.  I am not healing mentally.  I honestly wish this had never happened. 

My Simple Look

Today I barely have make up. I'm still fighting with all this congestion and a sore throat. I have on a little foundation and only one powder. With mascara and lipstick. Simple. Easy. I usually wear more foundation, two powders, mascara, eye liner, shadow, and lipstick. Not too much. I'm not a huge make up chick but today I have even less on. I'm actually liking this look better. Less is more. :)

I love this outfit. Maybe not so much the sweater. But the tights and boots are a big yes! I'll be wearing them often this fall and winter.

I hope everyone is staying warm out there! This week the mornings have been 27-30 here. Thats too cold for me. I like it 75-85 all year long. :)

Gigi's Sooner Victory Cupcake

First off, I can't stand the Oklahoma Sooners.  I don't really like college football, but I hate the Sooners.  I actually have a photo where I put the longhorn up right.  :)  Not that I a longhorn fan either.  Anyway, on to the cupcake.  This is from Gigi's (http://www.gigiscupcakesusa.com/home) Chocolate cupcake, and icing.  With red sprinkles and pearl looking things.  Wonderful cupcake!  Could easily be a Christmas cupcake.  It was really good!

Wild Card Game 2

Well the Rangers lost last night two.  My two teams beat in the wild card game.  I am still upset that both of my teams are out and upset with the MLB.  Honestly, the Braves wouldn't of played last night (nor would of Texas), but the MLB made up this new wild card game.  Always in the past there have been one team from each division (3 divisions) and one wild card... that was the Braves.  Well they decided to have two wild cards... dumb!  The Braves did play badly last night, very badly.  The calls were not in their favor.  And then during the game, the worst call ever.    Texas would of probably of been the wild card too which means they would not of played last night either.  Once again they didn't play well either.  But still, thanks to the MLB changing things.... I don't like change.  And there was nothing wrong with how it use to be.  And the umpires were just bad.  Now I will be rooting for the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Nationals... at least for now, if they get beat out I will pick someone else to cheer for, but it won't be the Yankees.

Thank-you to Chipper Jones and all of his years as an Atlanta Braves player!  You will be missed and I am sure you will be back as some kind of coach. 

To my Braves and Rangers- better luck next year! 

Fall Pictures... Well Sorta Of

Fall is my favorite season!!!  I LOVE the cooler weather (110+ temps are not for me).  I love the leaves changing, the smell of the holidays, all the yummy food, the magic in my kids eyes!  I love it all!  My kids get excited for Christmas around the first part of November and they dont' calm down till New Years!  It is crazy but I wouldn't change it for anything!  So now I am planning what we are wearing for Fall photos.  They won't be for another week or two but I am a planner!  And right now it is worse with this dreaded surgery coming up!  My oldest 4 boys will be in jeans.  My oldest boy will be in a dark green shirt.  My next boy will be in a brown striped top.  My next two boys will be in a orange top each.  My girl will be in a yellow dress with brown tights.  The baby will be in, probably several outfits, but one that I do know is a one piece cream color outfit that has orange stripes on it.  The man of the house will be in... I have no clue!  I will plan that when he is home, which means him trying on clothes for me.  :)  As for me, well I hate my clothes!  I am thinking they just aren't ME anymore.  But what do I know.  So I had my 3 year old that phone photos of me in different outfits to see what I like since there isn't a full length mirror in this house... mental note, buy a mirror!!!   so here goes.....

 

 

This I like.  I have no tights on, just a white leg!  The top fits and looks good with the skirt.  I love the boots!  They will be worn.  :)

Striped top with jeans.  It's ok.  But not for photos.  Two boys will be in stripes and the baby has some stripes on his outfit so no stripes for me.

This is a BIG FAT NO!!!!!!!  I look huge!  The dress is a 4 and swallows me. 

This is my Halloween shirt!  LOVE it!

This is what I will look like!  Love the top!  The man has a matching one! And the kids will be in their super hero costumes!   :)

 

So that is all I have, I have dug through my closet.  I may need to buy something if I don't settle on something here.  I have a couple of options though.  Nothing I am in LOVE with.  But nothing that makes me look huge.  If you read this, leave me a comment on which was your favorite!
